Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction and Scope
These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of services by BecomeAVet, led by Dr. Rebecca Massie. By purchasing any package or service, you agree to these terms. "The Cycle" refers to the current academic application year (Year 13 or Gap Year).
2. Service Period and Expiry
-
Final Date of Service: All tutoring, mentoring, and support services expire on April 30th of the student's application cycle.
-
Forfeiture: Any hours or services not utilised by April 30th are forfeited. They cannot be carried over to a subsequent year, nor can they be exchanged for a refund or credit.
3. Strict Refund Policy
In accordance with UK Consumer Law, a 14-day cooling-off period applies from the date of purchase, subject to the following conditions:
-
Initial Consultation Trigger: Once the Initial Consultation has taken place, the service is deemed to have commenced. No refunds will be issued under any circumstances after the initial consultation has occurred.
-
No Partial/Hourly Refunds: We do not offer pro-rata or hourly refunds. By purchasing a package, you are committing to the full service fee.
-
Digital Resources: Accessing digital guides or proprietary materials within the 14-day period constitutes a waiver of the right to a refund for that portion of the service.
4. No Cancellation Policy
-
Session Commitment: BecomeAVet operates a strict no-cancellation policy. Once a tutoring session or mock interview is scheduled, it is fixed.
-
Missed Sessions: Failure to attend a scheduled session will result in the forfeiture of that session/hour. No rescheduling or refunds are provided for missed appointments.
5. Intellectual Property
All materials provided, including interview guides and personal statement frameworks, remain the sole intellectual property of BecomeAVet.
-
Materials are for the individual use of the registered student only.
-
Sharing, distributing, or reproducing these materials is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination of service without a refund.
6. Professional Conduct
Dr. Rebecca Massie and the BecomeAVet team provide expert guidance, but the ultimate responsibility for application accuracy and university admission lies with the student. We do not guarantee university offers. Respectful behaviour is mandatory; any harassment or academic dishonesty will result in immediate expulsion from the programme.
7. Limitation of Liability
The total liability of BecomeAVet for any claim is limited to the total fee paid by the client for the service. BecomeAVet is not liable for indirect losses or third-party costs (e.g., UCAS fees or travel).
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
