Bursary
Support for those who need it most
We believe a place at vet school should be within reach of talented students from every background, not only those who can pay for guidance. Our bursary gives free, one to one support to students who could not otherwise afford it.
Getting into vet school is one of the most competitive routes in higher education, and applicants who can pay for expert guidance have a real advantage. We do not think a student's background should decide whether they become a vet.
Our bursary offers free guidance to a number of students each year who show genuine promise but would otherwise find expert support out of reach. It is the same one to one programme our paying students receive, guided personally by Dr Rebecca, BVetMed MRCVS.
If that might be you, we would be glad to hear from you. Every enquiry is treated in confidence.

What you get
The same support, at no cost
A bursary place is real, hands on guidance, not a watered down version. It covers every stage where applicants need the most help.
One to one guidance from a qualified vet
Bursary students work directly with Dr Rebecca, the same qualified veterinary surgeon who guides every paying student, not a junior tutor.
Support across the whole application
From choosing the right schools to work experience, the personal statement, written stages and interviews, we help with the parts that matter most.
Tailored to where you are
Whether you are years away or applying this cycle, in the UK or overseas, we shape the support around your stage, your schools and your circumstances.
New to the process? Start with our guide to the UK vet schools, our work experience guide and our personal statement guide, all free to read.

Questions
Bursary FAQs
Who is the bursary for?+
Talented students with genuine promise who would otherwise find expert guidance out of reach for financial reasons. It is open to UK and international applicants at any stage of the journey. We ask for honesty and commitment rather than a particular grade profile.
How much does the bursary cost?+
Nothing. The bursary exists to remove cost as a barrier, so the guidance is provided free of charge to the students we are able to support each year.
How do I apply for the bursary?+
Get in touch through our contact page and tell us about yourself, where you are in your application, and your circumstances. Every enquiry is read personally and treated in complete confidence.
How many bursary places are there?+
A limited number each year, because every place is full one to one support from a qualified vet. We would rather help a few students properly than many superficially, so we encourage you to apply early.
