Pursuing veterinary medicine is a substantial financial investment, partly because it is a five year programme compared with standard three year degrees. The actual cost depends on your circumstances and student status.
Undergraduate students in the UK
UK undergraduates typically pay around £9,000 a year in tuition. Over a five year degree this totals around £45,000, or about £54,000 for those who intercalate an additional year. Living expenses are separate from these figures.
Postgraduate students in the UK
Postgraduate UK students generally face similar tuition costs to undergraduates, approximately £9,000 per year.
EU and international students
International and EU applicants encounter significantly higher fees, often in the region of £36,500 or more per year.
